JROTC Air Rifle National Championship
The National Junior ROTC three-position air rifle season kicks off in the fall with a postal match administered by the CMP. Qualifying individuals then move onto to shoot in the Service Championships. From those Service Championships, teams and individuals qualify to shoot in the National JROTC Air Rifle Championship held in March.
In 2010, 7,802 cadets participated in the JROTC postal match. To view pictures from the Service Championships and National Championships, visit http://cmp1.zenfolio.com. To read about the 2011 JROTC Air Rifle National Championship, visit http://www.odcmp.org/0411/default.asp?page=2011NATIONALJROTC.
The CMP also supports JROTC by providing training and curriculum to JROTC Instructors (see the JMIC Instructor Courses under "Training"). The CMP also offers scholarships. Find out more information by visiting the CMP Scholarship web page.
