Zurek Wins President’s Pistol Trophy and Hullings Captures Junior Title at 2011 National Pistol Trophy Matches - CAMP PERRY, OHIO – John Zurek, a 25-year veteran pistol competitor and invitee to the 2011 USA Shooting national development team in May, won the prestigious President’s Pistol Trophy Match on Sunday, 17 July with an aggregate score of 390-12X, which included a 100-0X in the timed-fire stage.

CMP Phone Application updated for all Shooting Disciplines.  CMP is the official app for keeping score at shooting events and features an easy to use interface that allows for quick recording of your score after each string. Stormy Weather Drives SAFS Shooters from Camp Perry Range, CMP to Refund Majority of Fees to Participants - CAMP PERRY, OHIO – More than 380 Pistol Small Arms Firing School attendees fell victim to the unpredictable skies of Camp Perry on Monday, 11 July when not one, but two thunderstorms rolled through the area. The first storm delayed the shooting portion of the class for about 90 minutes and the second storm provided the knockout punch and ended firing for the day.

A Mosin Nagant 91/30 for the CMP's Vintage Sniper Rifle Match? - By Kent Stonecipher, Oklahoma City Firearms Examiner - Choosing a rifle to shoot in the Civilian Marksmanship Program's Vintage Sniper Rifle Match has been more of a problem than I anticipated.  I fully expected to use a replica 1903A4 that I had put together a few years ago but issues with the original Weaver scope once I started to shoot it past a couple of hundred yards ruled that out.  In fact the requirement to fire the rifles from 300 and especially 600 yards has severely limited my choices.
