I just received my H&R M12 .22 rifle! What a great looking rifle. It only has a few "character" marks on it. Opening up the box brought back some memories of when I used the same rifle in competing for the Governor's trophy. Thanks! Alan W.

Two Greek Import M1 Rack grade rifles arrived today. They both vastly exceed the standards that you have set for rack grades . This has to be a busy time of the year for all of you, yet from mailing of the order to delivery was only 34 days. Like so many of the CMP's customers, I appreciate an opportunity to own a part of our history. Thank all of you so much for a fine job. You are appreciated. Brian P. Michigan

CMP, Thank you for a much higher than expected value. I bought this rifle for my son to compete in CMP shoots. It far exceeds my expectations, Almost all matching. Good barrel and stock. I am a happy camper. You made my day. As always...thanks Ben P.

Thank you! My husband is serving in Iraq. This is the first time I've bought a rifle without his 'input'. You made it easy, I'm pleased with the rifle and already contemplating my next CMP purchase. You rock!! Heather

Well, I was expecting the worst but I need to thank the CMP and the random selection, my M-1 Garand "service" grade, Springfield Armory could easily be a collector except for a couple of items. I got lucky enough to get a fairly low serial number, great patina, all parts are in excellent condition and the packaging was exceptional.
The purchase process is straight forward and I received my rifle promptly.
It is a great, accurate weapon and my blank adapter fits perfectly when I re-enact however my "service grade" is so nice I am buying a rack grade for re-enacting. Every gun lover should know about the CMP.

AFTER READING ALL THOSE GLOWING E-MAILS HOW EVERYONE WAS SO PLEASED WITH THEIR RIFLES, AND THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF OUR CLUB STARTING A WW-II RIFLE MATCH, I ORDERED A O3 SPRINGFIELD. ON OPENING THE CARTON I SAW AN " OLD DOG".
THE STOCK LOOKED LIKE IT CAME FROM THE WOOD PILE, BUT I THOUGHT A REFINISH JOB COULD TAKE CARE OF THAT. AFTER CLEANING UP THE RIFLE, THE BORE LOOKED GOOD, AND FURTHER INSPECTION PROVED I REALLY HAD A CROSS-BREED OLD DOG.
THE RIFLE HAS A STAMPED TRIGGER GUARD AND MAGAZINE AND MAGAZINE FOLLOWER AND ALSO A O3A3 BOLT (ROUGHLY MACHINED) AND THE SET-SCREW WOULD NOT TIGHTEN UP THE LOSE FRONT SIGHT IN THE DOVE TAIL SLOT. FURTHER CHECKING FOUND THE MAGAZINE WOULD NOT ALLOW A LOAD OF 5 ROUNDS. THE MAGAZINE FOLLOWER SPRING WAS IN BACKWARD AND THE FOLLOWER HUNG UP ON THE MAGAZINE HOUSING. THIS IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING WORKED ON. WITH THE FRONT SIGHT REWORKED AND TIGHTENED UP THE RIFLE WAS CHECKED ON THE RANGE. SHOOTING SINGLE LOADING I MANAGED TO TAKE FIRST PLACE IN OUR WW-II RIFLE MATCH COMPETING AGAINST A BUNCH OF M-1 SHOOTERS. AS THE OLD SAYING GOES--"THE OLD DOG CAN HUNT"
THIS "OLD DOG CAN SHOOT."
I GUESS THIS LATE IN HISTORY OF THESE OLD RIFLES THERE AREN'T TOO MANY THOROUGHBREDS LEFT, BUT THANKS FOR "OLD DOGS" THAT STILL CAN SHOOT. VICTOR A., WEATHERFORD TX

New to the CMP, wish I would have been aware of the program years ago. I just received my 1903 Mark I this afternoon. 1919 receiver and 1-19 barrel.
Had the typical cosmoline, overall the metal finish is in very good condition with some wear, the bore is outstanding, shiny with sharp rifling, I think is has seen very few rounds. The wood is in good shape, stock is WWII replacement. My order was received on 03-08-05 status was on the E-store as pending a few days later. Card billed on 03-15-05. On
03-22-05 it showed shipped, received the rifle on 03-23-05. Overall it has been great dealing with the CMP.

1st M1 Garand , I would like to thank the CMP for "taking care of me" on my recent purchase. In February I received a Greek return, Springfield Armory rifle - my first M1. As I looked at her, cleaned her up and researched the history and parts via the online forums, I see that you sent me a WWII rifle made in 1943, complete with SA parts! While she certainly has "character" I am very proud of her history and enjoy very much bringing her to the line. What a rifle! This rifle aside, today, I dropped my next order into the mail. Thanks again for the service you provide - not only to your customer base, but to these pieces of US history.

I was very pleased to receive my rifle from C.M.P. My Springfield arrived in surprisingly great shape for it's age. Thank you to everyone at
C.M.P. for providing excellent service and an excellent service grade M-1. I look forward to traveling to the range and gathering the necessary funds for one more Garand. Thanks again for your service and customer dedication. Dan R.

I ordered 2 SA SG rifles and some of the M2 ball ammunition in early March.
I received the M2 ammunition yesterday and I'd just like to thank everyone there at CMP for the efficient and smooth delivery of your products. The ammunition is great, better than I had expected, and your entire system is well run and fast. Thanks again, Sincerely. David H.

Thank you CMP, first off. The two m1 Garands I ordered are the service grade. The one was of the 177**** serial number and the other was in the
586**** serial number. The earlier one cleaned up quick, the other a little more work, but they are real nice. The CMP is a great way for a person to have a chance to own a rifle with so much meaning .My dad was in the WW2 and is gone since 1992 but, he told me many stories about this rifle. I placed the order and sent it priority
mail, mainly because of the paper work was bulky. It only took two weeks and they were here, I couldn't wait, that's the hardest part. I also plan on ordering another m1 Garand, they are great.
Thanks for great service and I would also like to thank Nina at the CMP ,for the return email when I asked a question. Thanks again for the time and
care you give on your program, it's great. Richard F. Z. Jr.

I wish you would pass along to whomever is the person responsible my personal thanks and appreciation (and those of a number of our "Springfield TRAPDOOR Carbine & Rifle-Collecting" fraternity) for the excellent 17-page "USGI Rifle Stocks and Hand Guards: Walnut and Birch: Entry Level Care and Preservation Tips and Considerations for CMP Wood" Article - http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/wood_cleaning_article.htm, "...If you are talking about doing a top-notch professional job, then this Site is an absolute MUST...". It is excellent, very well-written, and about as comprehensive a treatment of this highly-complex subject as I have ever soon.
So, I for one would appreciate if this word could be passed along to whomever was involved in putting it all together. GREAT JOB VERY WELL-DONE!
Pete

Hello CMP, I took this rifle (1903 Springfield) out for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised with the results I had. I fired about 10 rounds at 50 yards and then moved out to 100 yards. I've attached a photo of the target that I shot the first and only 10 rounds at. The black is 5
1/2 inches in diameter. As you can see, the first round was high, the second was low, and the rest were in the black. I used the peep sight for all shots. This rifle was made in 1918 and the barrel was made in 1939. When I first got this rifle, I took a look at it and wondered if I'd ever get it cleaned up. I eventually got the metal cleaned up very well, but the stock was a total loss. I found one at the local gun show, put it together, and it looked pretty nice. I was surprised that the barrel was in excellent shape. . . and am doubly surprised with the results. Thanks for the great weapon! Semper Fi, Craig M. San Jose, CA

I placed my second order to CMP for a HRA Greek Rack Grade and the same in SA. I couldn't be happier with what I received. The grading system must have changed, the Quality was outstanding. My hats off to CMP. If I have an itch to purchase another firearm, CMP will be the first place I look. Thank you CMP. Matt. H.
