Just wanted to say how very happy I have been with all my dealings with CMP over the past few years. Getting orders FedEx is just like Christmas AM. My friends all are very pleased with your service and just love the surprise we get on delivery. Keep up the great work, we all think your doing a great job. Thanks again Jim K.

I’ll jump in here and add my accolades along with everyone else. Fantastic service and fantastic M1! I was not intending to buy an M1 when I went to the Reno Gun Show a couple of months back, but just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to actually “pick out” and reserve one of the Greek HRA collector grades. When I sent my money in for the piece, I also got the “don’t call us for 21 days” notice………..super surprise when it showed up yesterday, less than 10 days after your notice. It was cool to track it on FedEx and be standing at the front door when the FedEx guy drove up. Great packaging and the M1 is in great shape……..even better than I remember. All the parts are marked HRA with the matching numbers they should have. I’ve got it all cleaned up (barrel was already beautiful & measured 1.0 on the TE). Thanks again for a fun experience and I will be going to the range soon. Marc B .

Earlier this month I placed an order for an M1 Garand. The CMP reply indicated that I should not contact them asking for status for three weeks. Much to my surprise and pleasure I received an e-mail two weeks later stating that my rifle had been shipped. I called my wife and she met the delivery man at the door just hours after I received the e-mail. I went home at lunch and looked at my new "prize" and was amazed to find it in excellent condition (although covered with cosmoline). This past weekend I stripped her down, cleaned off the cosmoline, re-oiled the metal parts and cleaned the stock and hand guards. This week I will refinish the wood with Tung oil and then be ready to take her to the range. To say that I am pleased would be an understatement. The rifle is in excellent condition, both metal and wood, and I would like to thank everyone at CMP for your outstanding help. I'll keep you informed on how she performs a the range. Thanks again, John S.

Thanks so much for your great service!! I've been watching my husband have all the fun with M1's so I thought I'd try my hand at it; ordered 3 Danish RG's on the 9th and they were up on my account by the 20th!! Now, I just hope I get some good ones!! Thanks again, Debbie G.

Hello, I got my M1 Garand in the other day. Only 3 weeks after I sent my order. more than satisfied. I was not expecting any thing like what I got. I have been in the metal working industry for over 20 yrs. I feel I have above average knowledge of metal wear and condition. this gun is in like new condition. The wood has a few minor dings, but nothing to complain about. I will be placing an order for a 1903 shortly. Thank you for such a fine piece of American history. And for such a fine M1 Garand. Terry S . Kentucky

Thanks for coming to Pendleton and making it such an enjoyable weekend. I think everyone agrees that we will bring another shooter with us next year and double the attendance. The photos on the web are super. Thanks again for everything.
See you in July----Michael A.

My father served with the 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Division during WW2 in France and Germany. During the war, Dad used a number of weapons but his favorite was his M1 Garand. He made numerous comments over the years concerning its firepower and dependability.

I am a collector of WW2 Militaria and wanted an M1 Garand to compliment my collection and as a memorial to Dad. Yesterday, I received my M1 from your organization. First, I would like to compliment you on the way it was packaged. Foremost, I would like to thank you for a beautiful example of this rifle. My expectations were greatly exceeded and if Dad were still with us today, he would have been proud. Keep up the excellent work! With highest regards, Doug F

It wasn't a surprised when my latest HRA arrived this week and it exceeded all of my expectations. It was simply wonderful and will be in my family for years to come! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.......my next order for a FG M1 is in the mail box! Larry M

This is my second rifle from you. The first was an M1 Garand. This one is a 1903 h/s Springfield. I just loved the M1 and am so proud of the 1903. The stock was rough at first, but I think, What I look like after 50+ years in cosmoline? After just one afternoon, it looks Great. All of the Metal parts are for all purposes new just made 50 years ago, when things were made with pride. Thank You! Again!! Steve Y.

Sincerely yours, Steve R.

I can't wait to take my new (old) rifle out to the range. Thanks for helping us all preserve history. Much respect, Peter P.

Western CMP Games Camp Pendleton

As a first time competitor I was very pleased with the CMP Staff and the help we all received. The match could not have been better and the teaming of experienced shooters with in experienced shooters helped a lot. All of the experienced shooters should be commended for their very caring and helpful ways they used to help us. I do hope you consider this to be a annual event or even a bi-Annual event it is going to explode with participation as the word gets out. Bruce Y.

Just a quick e-mail to say thanks for all the hard work you and the rest of the CMP staff put forth in Calif. this last weekend. I sure hope you folks enjoyed being out west and I hope everybody treated you with respect. I believe everybody that participated had a good time. I know I did. The Western Games was my first experience in an organized competition. The chance to speak with the armorers and review the rifle selection was great. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.

Best Regards,
Michael C.

I AM OVER COME BY ALL THE SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN THE M-1 GARAND BUT I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE TO US. William C. S.

May 14, 2005

Just got my Garand on Wednesday morning. HRA Greek Issue. A little work on the stock and a cleaning was all it took to make it look FABULOUS!!! Took it out today and shot at 200yd NRA target, 1 1/2 inch group! Thinking very hard about getting another Garand as this one is simply outstanding. Thank you. John W.

May 13, 2005

Received my rack grade m1 today. It took 19 days from the time I mailed order to receive rifle. That's a great turn around time. Wood looks good and metal does also. Can't wait to shoot it. Thank you CMP. Lawrence B.

May 13, 2005

I just received my H&R Greek Issue Service Grade M-1 yesterday, and it's nothing short of pristine. The quality of this rifle far exceeds my expectations and I couldn't be happier. All I had to do was match the upper handguards to the stock as they were European birch, but that was nothing a can of wood stain couldn't fix, now you can tell the difference between the
two woods. Just wanted to say thanks and keep up the great work. Kevin M.

I had the pleasure of visiting your north store for the first time recently. I was extremely pleased with the help and attention I received for the staff there. The people there were eager to assist and explain all of the categories and technicalities of the M1 Garands you have there in stock. It was a great and rewarding experience as I left there with two beautiful Springfield Garands. Thanks again to the staff at your north store. Sincerely, Jim M . Stevensville Maryland

Just to let you know that I am very pleased with the Kimber 82 Gov. .22 LR target rifle. I ordered the rifle on 3/9/05 and received it just about 20 days later. The rifle was brand-new as advertised. It looks great and arrived still sealed in its original plastic bag. There was no sign of the scratch along the stock (due to serial number check) that you had warned about in your listing. This is the most accurate rifle I ever owned and I am using it for the weekly rimfire bench-rest target shoot with a group at the Pensacola R&P club (now if I could only learn to read the wind accurately!).
Thanks for your help, Joerg G.

Dear CMP:  Just want to let you know that I received my order for three HRA Greek Rack Grade M1 rifles. I had been hesitant to place an order, not knowing what I would get, as some folks hit the jackpot and others were not impressed.
Well, I have to say that with the exception of a missing enbloc clip in one kit, I am glad that I placed my order. Each one is in as good a condition, or better than, I had anticipated. Did not get any complete HRA rifles, like some had, but heck. The barrels are all HRA and in nice condition, passed bullet test as well. All in all, on first looks, nice pieces. Wanted to share my satisfaction with you. Will look forward to future additions.
Thank you, again. Sincerely, Chad L.

Super Job CMP! I received my Greek-return H&R M1 from you guys three weeks ago. My neighbor, a retired Army Colonel, almost wouldn’t give it back when I showed it to him! I finally got to shoot it this last weekend. What a beast! It is everything I had hoped for and more! Thank you CMP! Joe R . Newport News, VA

Just want to let you know I got an authentic piece of American history today. Ironic, on VE Day! Thank you for all you and the staff at CMP do every day. Mike V.

May 03, 2005

I would like to have you know how pleased I am with your service and the rifles I purchased. I attended the Reno, NV gun show on April 8-10 2005 and visited the CMP table. The staff at the table was very pleasant and helpful. All questions and misconceptions I had about the CMP were cleared up. I tagged a couple of Kimber 82 target rifles, and joined the Garand Collectors Association. I sent in the paperwork the following Tuesday and received confirmation that the paperwork was
received on April 19th. Another email followed on the 28th stating the order was being readied for shipment. Last night I received an email with FedEx tracking numbers, which allowed me to be able to stay home from work and receive the packages. So, from the day I sent in the paperwork to having the rifles was exactly 3 weeks! If it had not been for the table you had at the Reno show, I never would have had the facts about your program. The fact that I new exactly what I was
getting was great. However, there is one major problem...What to buy next? Josh H.
