Dear Staff; I would like to take this opportunity to thank each member of the CMP Team at the Anniston Store. I received my rifle and am VERY happy with it. Hello CMP. I received my M1 Garand yesterday. It was in much better condition than I anticipated. It was manufactured in 1943 - the year before I was born and that was nice also. I am very pleased to have an M1 as it certainly was instrumental in safeguarding our freedom. Based on this very satisfactory experience with the CMP, it looks like a M1903 Springfield has moved to the top of my wish list. Thanks for the nice M1 and the great service. Dale At. CT

I just want to thank you for the rifle I received today. I asked for an M-1 that would match what my father-in-law carried from Omaha Beach (D-Day+1) through the hedgerow country. I am extremely please with what I received and I wanted to tell you how grateful we are. Hopefully, it will be meaningful to my children, but it is very meaningful to my wife and me. Thanks. Greg G.

Thank you to the staff at the North Store. Knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful on our recent trip to the store. Being able to look thru rack and field grade rifles provided a great opportunity to find the features we wanted on less than perfect rifles. 3 hours of searching located 3.6M SA FG with the original 3-45 barrel....thanks again. Aloha CMP, Just received my Kimber Mod.82, It's Beautiful. My rifle didn't have a scratch! The razor only cut the manual and inspection lists. Once again the rifle reached me in record time. Thanks again to all the employees for your quick, efficient work. 27 days from paperwork to doorstep! Aloha Danny

Just received my M1 yesterday, I was not surprised to see the stock well worn with two newer (and different color) wood on the two hand guards. But the metal parts were astonishing! No scratches, pits or dings and obviously had been re-parkerized because the finish was flawless. I broke it down and cleaned it and it works like a dream. Can't wait to get it on the range. 5/10/06, I received my SA Service Grade M1. I have to tell you all that I am
in love with this rifle. It is with profound reverence that I treasure this
rifle. I think of the many men who may have carried it in Defense of the
freedoms we enjoy today. It is truly the "Greatest Battle Implement"
for " The Greatest Generation." I am proud to own it. I will die
owning it.
I
fired it the other day. 16 shot group was less than 1 and 1/2 inches center to
center. It is in fantastic shape. The quality better than I expected. The
metal is probably greater than 90%. I will carefully clean the stock with
antique furniture stripper. (No water to preserve cartouches!) Customer
service had been superlative. All my email inquiries were answered politely
and with celerity.
I
am heartened that in 2006 responsible and law abiding citizens still have the
freedom to buy this type of firearm. It is ironic that the freedom this rifle
helped secure is now a very real symbol of it, for me. Thank you. Thank
you. You will receive another order shortly. BTW, checking daily to see if you
have any 1903A3's for sale. David

Just got one of your so called "Rack Grade" M1 Garands delivered today. I was not expecting much from what I paid and from your description on your website. To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be a vast understatement! This is a fine rifle in what I would classify as NRA very good. I was very impressed and just wanted to say thanks! Ben R.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I visited the new Southern CMP store on 3 June 2006. The personnel and selection are excellent and the whole place has a personal touch to it. The three of us that went are pleased with the selection and service. We talked about the store all the way home (41/2 hours). We are planning another trip soon and have 18 to 20 others that will tag along with us. We have waited a long time for this. Clinton S.

Reviewed the photo gallery of the CMP South store. Nothing stirs my blood like the sight of someone holding, inspecting, aiming, or shooting an M-1 Garand. Nothing! That rifle has no bad profile. Jim S . Sikeston, MO

You have an excellent staff! I visited the CMP Store (North) on 06-01-2006. This was my first visit to the CMP Store. I found your staff very polite, courteous and helpful. While there, I observed them attend to a couple of customers that didn't know too much about rifles and had asked them for help. The staff went out of their way to assist them, I was totally impressed. You can't ask for better. I purchased a Field Grade M1 Garand, Springfield, Greek Issue and a M1903 Springfield Mark 1. The condition of the M1 Garand was a lot better than I had expected. The M1903 rifles a heavily coated in grease, but appear to be in decent condition. New M1 Garand Stock Kits have arrived at the North Store and I was able to pick one up. (The staff advised they arrived on (May 31, 2006). I was definitely pleased with the experience and will be a repeat customer. Keep up the great work! Bernie Z. USMC Retired
