I've got to tell you "guys", you are awesome!!! I love my M-1. It is sweeeeeet! It is as good or better then the one I was first issued in 1961.  Who says you can't relive the good times? The "spam can" of ammo works very well (I only use black "pasters") and the soft gun case is a really good deal. Thanks, MSgt. Roy W. USMC, Retired

I want to thank you for sending my Correct Grade M1 so promptly. The last gun I bought was in 1991 and it took nearly a year to arrive. It is a beautiful M1 but what a wait. Keep up the good work. Joseph D. Z .

I purchased a stripped Springfield M-1 receiver last month, it showed up exactly 30 days later. Nice shape. The best part was that I put a note for a particular serial range and you provided one that my Dad worked on when he was at the Springfield Armory in August 1943. Thank you very much. Jim C.

I just wanted to say that I received my Correct Grade M1 yesterday and I'm extremely pleased with it. Thanks for what you at CMP do for us who love historical firearms. Now I can't wait to get my Service Grade M1 that's on back order! My only disappointment was that I didn't receive notice of the shipment, so I missed the FedEx delivery attempt. Fortunately, FedEx was helpful and called the driver back to deliver it later in the day. Thank again for your good work and very useful web site. Arlie T.

I am still learning more about what the CMP actually does but I am very pleased to find a group that gets surplus military rifles into the hands of law abiding citizens and fosters a positive relationship with sport shooting. I think that you folks provide a fine service to the public and hope that you are able to continue with your work for many many more years to come. Danny F.

Greeting's, I'm very excited about joining all those that share our mutual attitude toward our freedoms and the joy that comes from a healthy shooting competition. I'm proud to be a new resident of Nevada and joining boulder city rifle and pistol club which is a club identified by CMP. Your website has been very informative, and with so many forums available to obtain additional information, makes this site, top on my list. Thank you and all the best to your staff, Curt M.

"I am a true believer in the CMP. It's not just a program, it's like a family, with a common bond, helping one another. I would like to express my gratitude for the world class customer service that was given to me. I recently purchased two more rifles. Casey, Janet, John M., the entire staff and of course Orest, invited me into their lives for a moment as if I were family. No one could ever expect this much personality from any organization and I am truly touched by their passion for what they do for their fellow Americans! Ladies and Gentleman of the CMP, Thank you !! Matt"

Been meaning to compliment CMP on their outstanding customer service. Over the past year and a half, I have ordered an M1 SA SG Garand, an M1903 High Number Springfield, and an M1 Carbine Receiver. The Garand was very nice and condition surpassed the description for service grade. I had two specific requests on the Springfield: original barrel and finger grove stock, both of which were filled. I requested a Winchester M1 Carbine receiver, and I received a Winchester barreled receiver with front and rear sights, and a barrel band. Condition of the receiver was at least NRA good (finish worn, but no rusting or pitting) and to my delight the bore of the barrel was in excellent shape (as verified by my local gunsmith). Your services are greatly appreciated, and I hope, at some point in the future, I will participate in one of your events. Keep up the good work. Regards, William S., LTC, USA (Ret)

Over the years I have purchased five M-1 rifles. Also a 1903, 1903A3, and a
1917 Enfield. Many thanks to CMP for providing these awesome rifles. I have already handed down an M-1 to my son, and soon to my daughter. Steve L. P.

Sir, I recently received the last one of my rifles I ordered through the CMP rifles sales program, and wanted to let you ALL know that I am beyond extremely pleased. The service I got was second to none, and the quality of each item ordered vastly exceeded my expectations. All you folks at the CMP deserve a big hand, and rest assured, I will spread the word of my wonderful experience to the shooters I come in contact with as match director, as well as when I travel to ranges in other states. You have a fine organization of people, a real class act. Sincerely, Mr. Aubrey B ., Ky.

".....was so much owed by so many to so few." Part of a quote by Winston Churchill which I believe fits the CMP crew. I have never been disappointed by the CMP especially after my last purchase. I asked for a WWII Garand and received a rifle built in August 1942 (I wanted a M1 that had a chance, however slim, of being Dad’s during WWII). Thanks to the Ladies and Gentlemen of the CMP . Joe D .

WOW! Yeah the wood's beat, the parts are a mix, the barrel is worn.......BUT this Rack Grade Winchester M1 Garand was manufactured in December 1941!  137xxx WOW! The hands that originally assembled this gun did so with Pearl Harbor brutally fresh in their minds. It is a special honor to have this one! Alan K.

I received 2 M1s and a Remington 1903 the morning of 11 Apr. My 3 boys and myself were really exited about the 1903. After scraped through some cosmoline, we found that all the serial numbers (action, bolt, and stock) all match and the metal is all nice and black. The stock had a few honest dings so we carefully cleaned off the packing grease and left it as-is. It looks like it just came out of the armory. I suppose in a way it just has.
The two M1s were Greek returns with beech replacement forends. We vigorously degreased both rifles and stained the beech to match the walnut. After 2 coats of boiled linseed oil they look spectacular! Thanks for all you do.
Semper Fi. Jim R.
