want to thank the CMP staff for making my day! I received my Kimber model
82 order well before the estimated time of delivery. The package arrived in
excellent condition. Best of all, the merchandise was better than advertised. I
am a happy camper beyond expectations. Thanks
again for a job well done. Russ

I was very happy to receive two 513Ts, one blued, one parkerized. The
blued one had, what appears to be a 521T stock on it. I cleaned it, put
on a 513T stock, and a williams 5D economy sight. At 50 yards, it produces one
ragged hole. I was elated. ( These rifles seem to be very under rated by
many shooters. ) Will have to see what the parkerized one will do later on. Am
going to try to scope it. ( old eyes. ) Thanks to all of you at
cmp for making these rifles available to us. In my opinion, at least, These
were the bargains of the year. Thanks again. Carl R.
April 29, 2007Dear CMP Colleagues: I trust this letter finds you all in good patriotic spirits being as the huge event will begin on Monday. As per your instructions I have sent all relevant id to insure a solid membership entry in time for this exciting day. As you know, my C&R, passport, State ID, picture liscense and birth cirtificate were all copied and mailed to your location. The help I received from your staff was invaluable in establishing a criteria for mailing my M1 order in time for the Inland Carbines about to go on sale April 30th. The mail order should get to you no later than 3pm on Monday the 30th of this month (tomorrow). It is an honor to have to opportunity to receive such a symbol of American courage, freedom and patriotism. For within the gun metal and stock of every war rifle,is the very essence of the American spirit. The aoura of blood spilled in the sacrifice of one's life for one's beliefs. And in the belief of every American soldier lies the soul of the free world. For in other armies there was no spirit of freedom, there was only the spirit of destruction and the attempted conquering of American beliefs. In these belies are the beliefs that man has a soul, and a soul is not to be conquered, it is to be nourished with the ideals of freedom and justice. America is the only place where these truths are selfevident. So it is with honor and patriotism that I desire to own one of these great instruments of freedom, relic of war. It will hold a place of honor in my home. It will stand homage to the members of my family who fought in that war; and there are many. Uncle Frank, Uncle Al, Father in law, Bud. And to all the soldiers who march on with the same courage, the same beliefs that are an inherent part of the Great American Spirit. Thank you all at CMP for the honor to participate in a small part of the preservation of the American culture. Thank You, Joseph L. April 28, 2007THE 1903 RECEIVED FROM THE CMP IS GREAT. AFTER A GOOD CLEANING MY SONS AND I SHOT MANY ROUNDS FROM OUR 03. IT'S LIVING HISTORY, THE LOOK ON MY TEN YEAR OLD TWINS FACES AFTER SHOOTING THIS RIFLE MONEY CAN'T BUY. IT WILL BE AFEW YEARS BEFORE THEY CAN OFFHAND THE 03 BUT NOT THAT LONG SO THEY SAY. I'VE TRAINED ALL SEVEN OF MY KIDS FIREARMS SAFETY NOW. I GROUPED FIVE SHOOTS AT 75 YARDS OFFHAND THE SIZE OF A SILVER DOLLAR, NOT BAD FOR A OLD NAVY CHIEF. I STARTED WITH A CMP BOYSCOUT PROGRAM LONG AGO, SO THANKS FOR THEN AND NOW, MANY THANKS FROM THE C. FAMILYApril 28, 2007I just received my two Danish Garands , They area in great shape my hat is off to your staff in helping me with my orders and the many times on the phone with your staff. I'm proud of the professionalisms your staff shows and how they treat each customer like family. Again thank you Robert C. L . April 26, 2007Greetings, Just wanted to let you know that I received my M1 Garand on Monday April 23, 2007. I was very surprised and happy to get my M1 rifle. I ordered the M1 when I ordered a 1903 Springfield from CMP and as I was checking my order, I noticed that all M1 Garands had been sold out. I received my 1903 rifle and pretty much forgot about the M1 thinking that I didn't get my order in soon enough. Boy, was I shocked when I received your email telling me to expect my M1 rifle to be delivered in a few days. It is a beauty and money well spent! Thanks again for your great service. Donald R. D. April 25, 2007I have just mailed in my order for one of the M-1 Carbines to the CMP. I am quite pleased that the CMP is offering these carbines; they are a part of our history and will be put to good use. If the CMP is ever blessed with finding any Krags, I would be most interested in acquiring one. On a side note, I recently took the 1917 Enfield I purchased from the CMP out to the range. At 100 yards, with Lake City ammunition, iron sights, and my aging eyes, I shot better than some of the younger folks with the new ARs and M-1As. They could not believe what an old GI rifle could do. Quotes included "That's from WWI?", "That's how old?", and "Where's the scope?". I thought you would get a chuckle out of this. They now know that the CMP exists, and how to reach it. I sincerely appreciate all that you and the organization do to keep marksmanship alive in our nation. Warmest regards, Arthur M. H ., Lt. Colonel, USAFR [Ret] . April 25, 2007I don't see the e-mail I sent to you last month posted to your feedback. I was voicing my concern about the pricing of the carbines to which you explained things such as market value, costs etc. If the administrative costs are that high, the purpose of this sales program is thus defeated. Keep in mind that, the tax dollars of our fathers and grandfathers have already paid for these rifles. Market value and profit shouldn't enter into the equation-at all. I'm not satisfied by your response. If the administrative costs are so high, then too many greedy fingers are at work here. A Garand, weighing much more than the carbine, cost me a mere $250.00 in 2005. Explain this. If my tone sounds sour, that's because it is. Please post this to your feedback regardless of its lack of praise. S.E . Montgomery, AL. April 21, 2007I got it!! Worth the wait and what a used beauty it is! Thanks so much to the CMP and your fine assistance!! Mark W. Surprise, AZ April 21, 2007Thank you for the great service and rifle Jens April 20, 2007
First off let me say that I bet you won't post
this on the website. I am very unhappy
with the price increases for ammo. Why was the need for this? Do you need more
money that badly?Just because other ammo went up did you feel you needed to
raise prices also? I just feel that you raised prices because you are being
greedy. I am a m1 Garand shooter and
use this M2 ball at matches and also for plinking. I am also very happy to
have it available. But , I feel now like I am being taken advantage of.
Was there a price increase or are you just wanting to make more money?
I mean wasn't this ammo paid for a good while back for a set price?
So.........I am asking, "are you just after more profit or did something
else happen?" I would like to
know. sincerely,
Thomas F. Decatur, Al.
Mr.
F . Please check the customer
feedback portion of the website. Yes, we paid a set price for the ammo
whenever we purchased it. But the cost of labor, health insurance,
liability insurance, utilities, gasoline and all other business expenses has
not remained steady - it goes up every year. Nothing happened that does
not happen every day in every other business. In addition to operational
costs, there are also storage costs - and the longer items remain in storage,
the more those costs add up. We will probably raise the ammo prices again by a
few cents a round in the next 18-24 months.
Sincerely, Orest Michaels, COO.
April 20, 2007I have been buying rifles from you for the last 5 or 6 years now (14 Garands, 1917, 3 1903 drill rifles and ammo, plus parts back when you did that). Some are restored, some will stay mixmasters and they all get range time. In all of this, I have had 1 broken part (that you are working on an exchange) and have always been happy with my purchases. I know that the last several months have been hectic with the orders and I hope you all have some breathing room before the carbine craze hits, but I wanted to take the time to say thanks, not to Orest (although he does a great job too) but to the folks that get the rifles inspected and shipped and in particular the ladies in the office that dispite the tons of phone calls and orders have always been very cheerful when I have had to call about something (Stephanie and Cassie in particular). The customer service at the CMP is by far the best example I have ever seen on what good customer servie is and should be. Larry S. April 19, 2007Very pleased with 513t barreled receiver - will make into excellent trainer for students - excellent condition for vintage item - can't wait till my complete 513 arrives - excellent service from both cmp & fedex - thanks, R.A.K. April 18, 2007Dear CMP, I recently received my barreled receiver and rebuilt my M1 Garand; it works perfectly, and I would like to thank you heartily for your excellent service and quality of product. I would like to let you know why I requested this item: I had purchased, some 24 years ago, an excellent M1 from the DCM program, and, until recently, it performed very well. During a recent shooting session, the rifle doubled, with the second round firing before the bolt had close, as evidenced by a nearly blown out cartridge case. The resulting excessive pressure caused the bolt to retract so violently that it caused the receiver walls to crack vertically on both sides - the top surface remained intact.. That this did not cause serious injury (I continued firing, until during cleaning afterward when I discovered the damage) is testimony to the strength and integrity of the M1 design and excellent metallography of the rifle. Thanks, again, .With best regards, Doug S. April 18, 2007My 1903 arrived today, and thanks to all. I was new here and made several mistakes along the way, but the warm and friendly service provided by Sandra, Cassie, and Jessica made this a very pleasant experience. You have all made me a customer for life...THANK YOU. JD April 17, 2007
CMP, I
just wanted to let you know I was surprised and happy when I opened my FedEx
shipment containg my awaited M1. Shoots great!
Wood could have been less gouged, but we take what you send.
I am sure you do not get a great amount of thanks, but that is
the purpose of my note to you folks.
Thank you.

April 16, 2007I just want to say that the support after the sale has been more then I could have ever hoped for. John Mclean did a super job in helping me understand and fix my M1. In the days of not talking to a real person when you call I really want to say thanks for being there. Tony S. April 16, 2007I just received my 1903 Mk1. I am impressed on several levels. First, I ordered the weapon from the south store only about a month ago. The speed of shipment is out standing!! The condition of the weapon was excellent with a perfect bore and fine wood and steel. The only thing I need to do is strip some varnish from the metal and stock. The weapon is far better than I expected. Keep up the great work! Dave H., April 15, 2007Thank you for the assistance in my order for a Field Grade Dainish SA M-1.Thanks again for your assistance in this action my Grandson will be happy with it when he grows into it. William C. April 13, 2007CMP, I'm not sure who pulled this order, but I wanted to thank them and the CMP for the excellent Garand receiver that you sent me! I've ordered several Garands, 1903 Springfields, and parts over the years, and this item was the nicest of all. It was especially welcome to me, in that it will be my last Garand purchase. Thanks again for your excellent service! Richard H. April 13, 2007Received two HRA barreled receivers today. All cleaned up, lubed and ready to assemble into rifles that I will be proud of. Many, many Thanks to all! C. L. April 11, 2007My Rem. 40X came in today-all i can say is thank you- it was well worth the wait. Paul J. April 11, 2007
Thanks to all the friendly and helpful folks at CMP in Anniston, AL. I
am a retired Vet and I have always wanted an M-1 Garand of my own so
I thought I would go to see if I could find one at the South Store.
Well, to make a long story short, I left with THREE. The staff at the
store answered all my questions and even the other customers were some of the
friendliest, knowledgeable and helpful folks I've met. The three
rifles were all better than I expected to end up with, receivers in good
shape, no major faults, stocks rough but sound and one with original
stock. They all fired nicely first time on the range. It was
an enjoyable experience from beginning to end and I am looking forward to
many happy hours of reading and re-reading the various publications I have
since purchased from CMP, restoring the rifles to various degrees and, most of
all, shooting these beautiful pieces of American History. Rick

April 11, 2007I just received my first order with CMP. A 1903 and 1903A3 that were awesome, as well as a couple of Garands that, while rack grade, turned out pretty nice! Great folks in the office as well. Second order is on the way!! Frank April 10, 2007Let us just say thank you for the great service and quality product CMP
rendered! We ordered the Greek Rack Grade M1 back in early March, and
arrived today. It beat expectations, and you can't beat the price!
My father purchased it for my 21st birthday, and he drilled with the M1 back in
his VMI days in the 1960s. Thanks again! - The W . April 10, 2007Dear CMP: After finally purchasing an M1 last spring (after years of telling myself that I would) and being completely elated with my rifle, I decided that I needed a 1903. Last Friday, my wife and I took the day off and drive to Anniston to visit the store. I couldn't believe the racks of 1903s and was somewhat overwhelmed with trying to pick only one. One of the fellows in the store (I'm sorry that I did not get his name) was very kind and spent some time with me and together we finally decided on a very nice 1903A3. Stephanie helped speed up my paperwork and I left with my "new" rifle and several hundred rounds of ammo. Saturday, after cleaning (not much needed) and inspecting I went to the range and had a ball with my M1 and 1903A3. Keep up the excellent service and we will see you again soon when the M1 carbines become available. It is difficult to impress me but you guys did it. Thanks . Alan R . April 9, 2007I would like to take this opportunity to thank the good folks at CMP for their great service. I received my rack grade Greek Garand last Friday a week ahead of schedule! I was well pleased with the overall condition of the rifle, no pitting on the receiver! and a low serial number! Stock was as stated " ROUGH " but sound! For a rifle in this grade which is considered poor to fair I have no complaints, I have seen worse at local gun shows for more money. Can't wait to get to the range! Regards, Bart P. April 9, 2007
Just wanted to say that I received my M1 Service Grade Rifle today and
it's better than I hoped for. It was well worth the wait. Thanks!

April 9, 2007Since returning from Iraq I wanted to order an M-1. Because my retirement from the Army tool up all my time, I kept putting it off. I actually did it in Mar 07 and thanks to your excellent system was able to track my order and wait till D-Day! Thank You!! God Bless our Veterans and the USA! CSM Richard B. April 5, 2007Thanks for my piece of history, me and my father-ln-law a WWII vet; were
like little kids again! The process was simple and painless, relatively quick. I
intend to use it as part of my WWII reenactment group, so this piece of history
will see action again. Thanks . Louis
