The research paper on the Carbine 30 round magazine was an outstanding piece of work and the author/authors deserve a big round of applause. Would love to see more of this author's work. Thanks, Dave W.

Received my order of rifles and all were in good shape. Nice packing job. The rifles were as good or better than I had hoped for. Thanks for a job well done. I'll be in touch with you-all again. Richard G.

Just a note to tell you thanks. You ran out of one type of M1,GI,but I was fortunate enough to  get one of the last Greeks. It had a cracked front handguard and replacement was simple as a phone call.  Everyone that I have contact there (CMP) has been overly nice .  When you get more goodies, I will order again.  Thanks,  William W .

Orest:  I have been purchasing rifles from the CMP for the past eight years.  I decided to take a chance and get on the last USGI service grade list.  I was ready to accept whatever you guys had—at the least I would have some parts.  Well, after all these years, and a wait of more than four months, I received three of the best service grades I have seen and your staff filled my wish list.   All three of the rifles have 100% walnut stock sets, original finish and original barrels.  I could not be happier.  You guys are truely amazing.  Thanks, again—  Charles   B.

Last Friday I visited the CMP South Store for the first time and despite the fact that I had not done any homework and did not understand how things worked, I was immediately assisted and encouraged to browse the racks of rifles. After talking to several of the employees I realized that time had run out and I was encouraged to return on Saturday. I drove back from Columbus GA Saturday morning and meet my father who lives in Cullman, AL., at the store. After several hours I walked away with two M1 Garands, which after checking the serial numbers on the Internet, I realized that one of them might have been built the month that I was born, February 1955. I want to thank all of the employees at the South Store for helping me and I assure you that when I next return home from my job in Africa, I will be back to buy another rifle or two from the store. Have a wonderful day. Al M., Raleigh, NC.

I just received a left handed shooting glove I purchased from you. It was more than I expected for such a low price. It feels good on my hand and gives me a firm grip on my m1 garand. I Thank you very much. Ralph H.

I would like to thank everyone at the CMP South Store for their excellent service. I can't tell you how happy I am with my new 1903 Mark 1 and Correct Grade Garand. I was told that the Garand stock was going to be rather "beat up" for a Correct Grade. To tell the truth it has very minor dings and has exceeded all of my expectations. The 1903 bore is of mint condition and looks like it has never been fired before. If you are thinking about buying from the CMP, DO IT! SEMPER FI 1stLt H.

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with both your service and the rifles I have received.  I bought two M-1 Garands in October, 1 for me and 1 for my brother.  They were in great shape and I couldn't believe what a great shooter I ended up with.  I had waited too long to order and your website said you were out of service grade by just a few days, but I called and the person I spoke with helped me out greatly.  I submitted an order asking for service grade, but expecting field grade and when they came both were service grade.  Boy was I pleased. More recently I got a 1903 Springfield made by Remington.  Your staff was very patient in filling my request.  I listed a series of preferences and a few emails were exchanged.  Your website said all had been through rebuild, when I got mine and checked the serial numbers I found that mine was made in Dec 1942.  Needless to say I was very surprised to find the barrel was also marked R.A. 12-42.  Near as I can tell this is an original barrel.  At the very least it is correct to the period.  I did not expect to find this as it should have been through a rebuild.  I have known about the CMP for years, but never had the time to shoot in matches due to first my military service and then college.  Later, when the eligibility rules changed and me being in the Navy made me eligible I kept meaning to buy a rifle, but never got around to it.  I sure wish I had done this years ago.  Thanks again for the great customer service and the beautiful pieces of history.  Scott A .

I just received my M1 Carbine Stock, M1 Carbine tools and Open Bolt Indicator. As usual everything met or exceeded expectations. I just wish that every vendor that I deal with could be as dependable and as of high quality as you folks are! Regards! Gregory N. M.

Mr. Michaels, this afternoon I returned from a trip to the South Store in Anniston, and I wanted to write and let you know that everybody on the staff was extremely nice and helpful to me, and made my visit this morning a pleasure. I can't imagine how it is those people can be as patient as they are, but to the last one, everyone from the folks at the service windows to the guys on the ammo dock were all first-class, friendly and helpful. It was a long trip for my visit, but I enjoyed coming to the store, and left very happy, with a case of HXP and a Garand (it'll become a surprise birthday gift for my dad, who carried one in the Army). I'm glad I made the trip, and I sure appreciate the help, friendliness and patience of everybody at the store. If you could, I'd appreciate it if you'd share this message with all hands at the Anniston store. I sure had fun there this morning, and I hope I'll have the pleasure of a return trip someday. Thank you all again for your help!  J.P. Pomaria, SC.

Thanks, the Kimber 82 I purchased from you is a dandy. Took it to a rifle match and was impressed by the accuracy. Plan on going to the police olympics for standard small bore match. Let you know how we do. Douglas T.

Greetings, I received the Springfield 1903 Mark 1 yesterday and it's beautiful! I was shocked by how good it looks and it even has an original stock. Thank you very much! Donald D.

Thank you to all the Sales crew at CMP South! Placed my CMP orders for an M1 and a 1903A3  and received two genuine WWII historic rifles both dated circa 1943. Have always wanted to own an M1 garand and a 1903A3 as a tribute to my Dad and my Grandpa who both served in Bataan and Corregidor and survived the infamous Death March. What an honor to be holding a piece of history! This will surely be treasured and passed down to my 3 sons and generations after. I'm pretty sure my dad and grandpa are watching from above and behind my shoulder with a grin of approval every time I go down to the range with my boys to fire these two historic rifles - rifles that they themselves once carried in battle. Can't wait to get my hands on the M1 Carbine because I remember my dad carried that too. Thanks again, CMP! Delfin J.

Just received my first M1 rifle from CMP, it is a rack grade the stock has a lot dings and marks on it. But I believe that adds to the history of the rifle. I will shoot this rifle in matches as it looks, will more than likely order another one. Keep up the good work that all you people do Jerry K.

My receiver arrived yesterday. It would have been here the day before, but since I work during the day, FedEx had to bring it back (three times). I took action to allow them an alternate spot to deliver it where another adult could sign for it (family member). It's exactly as I anticipated! I would ask you to convey my sincere thanks for the efforts you folks down there have expended on my behalf during this sale. It was my first auction win, and hopefully not the last. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town for 'Carbine Day', but I will most likely send an order in through the mail. That too will be a first. I only live about 12 minutes from the North Store, so I usually just drop in there. Again, THANK YOU! JH
