Dear "Orest" and all the staff,  Thank you for your excellent service, both now and through the years.  I just received my Inland carbine.  This is my fourth rifle purchase from DCM/CMP.  My first rifle was through the DCM, when the M-1 Garand was the only rifle available, and it was one rifle per lifetime.  Then CMP was born.  Second was a 1903A3, third a 1917 Enfield.  All three have proven to be excellent "shooters", and I felt fortunate to have the opportunity to possess small pieces of American history to hold, cherish and take onto the range and into the field.  I thought I was done, and the M-1 carbine opportunity was a delightful surprise.  I have no doubt it will prove to be a "shooter" as well.  Absent shooter quality Krags or Trapdoors being offered, well, I am done, but wanted to thank "Orest" and everyone else for the quality and service that I have been provided.  The carbine experience was my first to read the Forums, which was an eye-opening experience--I don't know if I was just lucky to receive such excellent exemplars on my earlier purchases or if the current feeding frenzy existed for those rifles.  Sadly, it is human nature to remain quiet when expectations are met, and to gripe when they are not.  You have have earned my thanks many times over.  RBM  Texas

The carbine I just received was better than described and very quickly shipped and the people I talked to very helpful. Thanks very much, Dave B.

Got my carbine today. metal is super, shiny bright bore,  muzzle is 3/16 on a M-2 Ball cartridge, flat bolt, most of the internals look to be Inland.  Stock looked like crap, But guess what! it's a GI after a little cleaning lo and behold it has a good WRA and GHD marking on the right side of the stock AND a fair Ordnance  crossed canons mark.  Nice 2 rivet hand guard.  All in all I am very satisfied.  Worth the money.  Charlie B .

I recently received my Inland M1 Carbine. Ordering procedures were very user friendly with online order forms. I am very pleased with the carbine. After cleaning it up, it looked very good even with the heavy use that the stocks have been through.(dents,gouges,etc.) The metal parts were near perfect. I will be going out to the range with it next week. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to own a piece of American history. Joel S.

I received my M-1 Carbine, and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the barrel and action. I replaced the stock with one from CMP, and the rifle looks and shoots great! The rifle was very clean when I got it, and the service was great!! Thank you CMP staff for your extra effort in bringing us all a bit of history. Kevin S.

Dealing with the CMP staff has been a absolute pleasure. They are without a doubt the nicest people I have dealt with. Sometimes the wait for a rifle seems like forever, but I have never had a doubt that I would not receive my order within the time specified. I look forward to purchasing more historic firearms when they become available. Ronald R.

CMP Staff, I would like the thank the entire CMP Staff for sponsoring the Eastern Games Matches. I appreciate the effort an event of this size must have taken and I certainly appreciate the opportunity to participate. I would also like to thank you for sending me the 2006 CMP Camp Perry results. When I got back to work after the games matches, I did not have a chance to email for the results. Instead you had already mailed the 2006 results and I recieved them two days after I got home! Your service to the shooting community is the best! Thanks again for the great work that you do. Sean L.

For Mr. M and all the crew. Thank you for posting the carbine sales photos. Will print them off at home and take to show my father (WW2 vet) who just got his carbine. Even though he is 85, he was excited as a little kid when Fed Ex arrived. (Carried one during the difficult days in the war going into Germany.) He actually called me here at work, scared me for a bit when caller ID comes up.One of the very few stories he has told me was when the generals & politicians (in England?) came to shoot carbines and he was in pits. While they were all over the target and misses, he gave the shooter on his point all bulls and one flier. Seeing photos of the opertation in many ways is a way of saying thanks to us. Dad & I appreciate it. Joe L.

Hi Crew, I just wanted to thank you guys for the 2 40x rimfires I received. One of these is a thank you gift to my father for all the times he took me to the range as a youngster. The second one is mine and I hope to have it passed down to my children's children when the time comes. You guys have a great program and I wish you and yours nothing but the best. Thank you again, Chad B.

Everytime I purchase ammo, a gun, or even the latest purchase, my Inland carbine, your staff has been nothing but helpful, pleasant and friendly!! AND when we had a problem with 2 or 3 rifles we recieved, parts were shipped to us no questions asked within days, not weeks, for no charge!! Keep up the good work! Jeffrey L.

Received my Kimber Md 82 today, exactly 31 days from the date I mailed my order. It's really a beautiful rifle with a nicely figured stock. It did have one of the box knife cuts the full length of the right side of the forearm but I can repair that. There's not a mark on any of the metal. Can't wait to get to the range next week and shoot it. You did a great job processing my order especially with all the carbine orders you're dealing with right now. This was the second rifle I've ordered along with a case of the LC 30-06 ammo. All went through in great time without a problem. Thank you and keep up the good work. Sincerely, Edward J. L. I did recieve the Win. 52D. Basicly the rifle was in decent shape accept for the bolt, it did not have matching numbers with the rifle serial number-that happens. the thing is that the bolt shows excessive wear, where as the rifle itself shows less than average wear. by the way thanks for the 40X it was like new.I won the draw there. First - a note of gratitude to all who worked at the North Store last Thursday (first day of Carbine sales). Everyone there was great! Looked to me like your process was well thought out and ran smoothly! I waited in line about an hour and a half. No whining by the customers I was around, either. I found a carbine with an early '45 receiver, decent muzzle (less than 2), GI wood and no FAT stamp. I'm happy. I really like the idea of limiting carbine sales to one per manufacturer per person per year. I believe that is a very equitable way of handling things. It allows more people to get a piece of history and keeps the re-sellers at bay. I wish you had done that with the Garands (OK - maybe 2 per year) as I don't believe that CMP should play wholesaler to all the resellers out there. I think the pricing on the carbines is pretty reasonable, too. Hope you don't raise prices as you go through other manufacturers. From what I saw, there were a lot of carbines that gauged well over 2 and I found a number that gauged 3 or higher (using my muzzle gauge from Scott Duff - who's gauge is more accurate??). All in all - very impressed with the attitudes of all who worked at the North Store last week. Thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to the release of the next manufacturer. Keep up the good work. Regards, Barry D.

Received my 2nd 1903 Springfield today, a low serial number. As with the 1st, a great rifle that even had most of its original blued parts. Everyone at CMP has always been fantastic with their willingness to help in a professional and friendly manner. Thanks to all once again, Jim D.

In January of this year, I ordered my first M1 Garand from CMP. I received it in February, and was very impressed. Then I had the fun of learning how to disassemble it, clean it, and put it back together. In April, I ordered a new stock and handguards for it. They arrived last week. Everything went together well, until I went to put the trigger assembly in. In a panic, I contacted Lynne, and she told me that she would send me a return label so I could return it. On Friday morning, I called CMP North, and they referred me to CMP South. I explained my problem and was put through to the Armory. The gentleman I talked to said that the stocks sometimes needed a little fitting. And he was right -thats all it took Thanks CMP for such good customer service. Regardes. Richard W. S . Vacaville, CA.

Good morning CMP. Just a note from a avid site viewer up here in Wisconsin who may never get to see your operation. Enjoyed seeing the added photo of the 1st day mail on the carbine sail. Also noticed on the North store forum someone posted two entries with photos of the 1st day carbine sales there. Brought a smile. These photos were worth a million. To Mr. M and entire crew, thanks for all you do. Joe L.
