Arlayne Brown 13 years old |

Miss Arlayne Brown, a 13 year-old from St. Louis won an experts medal in
the Pistol Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio in September 1929. She was pictured in a release of
the Toledo Blade-Universal newsreel shown in the Vita-Temple and State theaters. Mr. M.J.
Gittinger, a local cameraman for the Blade-Universal newsreel, went to St. Louis to take
pictures, which shows the child doing mirror shooting, upside down shooting and other
feats. Miss Brown can "Split a Playing Card" edgewise or a chalk crayon at 45
feet.

America, Arlayne Brown, has won nineteen (19) medals. Miss Brown is pictured here shooting
in the "Junior Rifle Corps Matches" at Camp Perry, Ohio scene of the National
Rifle and Pistol Matches.
