MOUNTAIN MAN TROPHY

NATIONAL TROPHY RIFLE TEAM MATCH

The Mountain Man Trophy was presented to the NBPRP in 1992 by Christopher J. Stark family in memory of Lieutenant Colonel Tommy Pool.  Colonel Pool was an Olympic winner in the Tokyo Games, the National Small Bore Position Champion in 1961 and 1962 and the Service Rifle Champion in the 1979 National Matches.  The trophy is a bronze statue of an early mountain man, on horseback descending on a steep grade.  The original of this statue was done by the legendary 19th century American artist, Frederick Remington.

Awarded to: The competitor with the highest aggregate score in the President’s National Trophy Individual and National Trophy Team Matches
